Avondale Guest House is a charming mid terraced Victorian home dating back to the late 19th Century, which has been lovingly restored to maintain its individual character and warmth.

 

Owned and managed by Carole Kaleda, guests are made to feel very welcome. The rooms are individually decorated, warm, cosy and very comfortable, guests can enjoy some of the original features that remain a central theme to the interior of the house.

Fresh flowers, many pictures by local artists and lots of other personal touches make Avondale Guest House the perfect place to relax and unwind after a days sightseeing, a real home from home.

Little ones are welcomed to the attic family room by an adorable fluffy toy puppy called Spike who can't wait to be friends with all the little boys and girls who will give him a big cuddle! There is a cot and high chair available if required.

There is a wealth of visitor information and guide books available to the guests, I am delighted to provide further information and advice on ‘where to go’ and ‘what to see’ in York and the surrounding areas.

All the rooms have en-suite bathroom facilities, alarm clocks, remote TV and CD stereos, so don't forget to pack your favourites CDs! You will find all you need from a range of beverages on your hospitality tray, I will provide wine glasses and even cool your wine for you! A homely, comfortable and private retreat from a busy day out in York.
